BLACK SABBATH Drummer BILL WARD's Collection Of Fine Art: More Information Available

Legendary BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward is set to debut a groundbreaking collection of fine art created from rhythm on August 1.

A project underway over the last year, little has been revealed about Ward's fine art debut of rhythm on canvas... until now. Like a painter using brushes, Ward is creating fine artwork utilizing sticks that light in a variety of ways. His rhythms are captured for canvas bringing forward a new dimension to what was formerly just sound.

Rhythm on canvas is a new medium in fine art. Unique in concept and visual, this movement in fine art is being led by leaders in rhythm, each serving as pioneers to expand the medium and showcase a new dimension revealed within the captured sound and performance.

The most limited release imaginable, Bill Ward's collection titled "Absence Of Corners" is an ambitious one. Each art piece featured in the series is revealing, as the abstract images within, shed light on Ward's creative vision, taking on a highly personal meaning.

Each piece in the series is limited in availability. The artwork varies in size from traditional gallery dimensions (30" x 18") to massive (106" x 30"). Each is numbered in the edition. All are signed individually by Ward.

Ward claimed that he sat out the current BLACK SABBATH reunion because of unfair contractual terms, although the members of SABBATH have hinted in other interviews that he wasn't physically up to the task.

Ward was on board for the reunion when it was first announced in November 2011, but backed out soon after.

SABBATH has used Ozzy's regular touring drummer Tommy Clufetos since then for live work. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's Brad Wilk laid down the drum tracks on SABBATH's new album, "13", which came out June 11.
